We engaged with a new client to the practice who was involved in software development. The business had heard of R&D enhanced tax reliefs but didn’t think they would qualify so had not taken it any further with their previous adviser.

How we helped:

• We undertook a thorough review of the work being undertaken by the business and identified a significant project which qualified for R&D
• We prepared claims for the current and previous tax year and submitted significant claims to HMRC.
• The claims were subject to review by HMRC which we managed on behalf of our client and help our client though a telephone meeting to discuss with HMRC
• Our client received tax savings and refunds in excess of £750,000
